Gabriella Giegerich, Catholic '23, is a Musical Theatre major from Tabernacle, NJ. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University, and what advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art?

"I chose the Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art after attending an accepted students day. Dean Brock stayed with my dad and I to answer our remaining questions after the session had ended. That individualized care from the faculty was the final factor to make my decision."

Why did you choose to study music, drama, and art?

"I had a dance teacher in high school who asked if I had considered going into the arts. My response was no, but after that I couldn't stop thinking about our conversation. I reached out to him to learn more about working in the arts and in respone he invited me to shadow him while he choreographed a production for the New York Theatre Festival. After that, I was hooked!"

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"My favorite parts have been all of the friends that I have made and the ability to explore Washington, D.C.!"

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"Take full advantage of coming to visit and talking to faculty and students!"
