Admission to the Rome School requires both 1) acceptance into the university, and 2) (for most programs) a successful audition. These steps can be completed in either order.
Step One: University Application
Complete your application to Catholic University.
The university provides helpful guides to undergraduate admissions and graduate admissions, as well as special information for international students.
Step Two: Audition (online or in person)
Create an account in the Acceptd portal to see the specific requirements there for your program of choice and submit required materials. Some programs (including but not limited to Composition) may also invite auditionees to a follow-up interview via Zoom.

In-person audition dates for entry in fall 2026 are:

What are the deadlines for entry in fall 2026?
Undergraduate online-only submissions will be considered from August 1, 2025, through January 15, 2026. More information may be found in the Acceptd portal under your specific program. Provided that you have successfully applied to Catholic University by January 15, 2026, a grace period will be allowed to submit audition materials until February 4, 2026. Materials may be submitted on a case-by-case basis after that date.
Graduate online-only submissions are evaluated on a rolling basis and will be considered from August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026. More information may be found in the Acceptd portal under your specific program.
