Abigail Aronne, Catholic '25, is a BFA in Acting student from Silver Spring, MD. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the Rome School, and what advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art?

"I chose to attend Catholic U and the Rome School because they open so many doors for new experiences, opportunities, friendships, growth and so much more. I also adore the campus and being within the city but still having a college campus feel. The staff at the Rome School are dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who will help you put your best foot forward, which was really appealing to me."

Why did you choose to study music, drama, and art?

"I chose to study Drama because I have loved theater since I was a kid and it is a huge passion of mine. Art can have such a huge impact on the community, the actors, and the audience. People as a whole can be changed for the better all because of art and I want to continue to be a part of that."

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"My favorite part of being a student at Catholic University is participating in the Rome School! I have been in two main stage productions so far and I have fallen in love with acting all over again through that process. The friendships I've made through the shows I've been a part of and the lessons I've learned through the process of putting on these shows are invaluable. I am so thankful to be a part of it all."

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"My advice for prospective students is to put yourself out there! Meet new people; try out for that team or that show or that group; take a class that might challenge you; reach out to others when you need help; and attend events. Be yourself throughout it all. I promise you'll find your path and your people and things will slide into place. Just remember to take care of yourself through it all."
