Victoria and the Wolf is a 25-page graphic novel telling the story of a young girl who is transported by a wolf from a depressing, gray world into a strange and colorful one. Marcus used a combination of both hand-drawn and digital illustration techniques to render the comic's cells. Influenced by the famous Japanese animation film studio, Studio Ghibli, Marcus aimed to tell an adventurous narrative of childhood imagination through a unique, personal style.
