Synopsis
In remembrance of the 50th anniversary of the Selma voting rights march, award-winning playwright Catherine Filloux brings to life the interconnected stories of Viola Liuzzo, white civil rights activist, and Tommy Rowe, FBI informant, undercover with the Ku Klux Klan. The show features CUAdrama faculty Marietta Hedges, head of the M.F.A. Acting Program, and Eleanor Holdridge, head of the M.F.A. Directing Program.
Post-show discussions follow each performance featuring civil rights activists, artists, and historians.

Thurs. Sept. 24th: Andy Shallal, owner of Busboys and Poets and activist, will lead the discussion with the production’s artistic team: Playwright Catherine Filloux, Director Eleanor Holdridge, and Actress Marietta Hedges.
Fri. Sept. 25th: Award-winning author and journalist Elizabeth Becker leads the discussion. Ms. Becker, has covered national and international affairs as a Washington correspondent at The New York Times, as the Senior Foreign Editor at National Public Radio, and as a Washington Post correspondent.
Sat. Sept. 26th matinee: Renate Chancellor, expert on the Civil Rights Movement and CUA Assistant Professor, leads the discussion.
